Q: How do I sign up?
A: Simply click on Sign Up here or at the top of the site and fill out the form or call us anytime 7 days a week at (888) 658-5320.

Q: How soon can I start using RemindMeDoc?
A: Immediately! Aftering signing up you will receive 2 emails. The first will be a Registration Confirmation email which will arrive within 30 minutes of signing up. The second will be an NPI Verification email which means your account is activated. We verify every NPI number entered for each physician. You will receive an NPI verification email with instructions once this is complete which will be anywhere from 1 to 24 hours after signing up.

Q: How many doctors can sign up per RemindMeDoc account?
A: Individual and group practices are welcome. All physicans will share from the same reminder pool. During Step 2 of registration you will be asked for the NPI number, first and last name of each physician. Physicians in a group practice must have the same practice address on file with the national NPI registry.

Q: What number appears on the patient's caller ID?
A: You can use your office phone number or we will use one of our default (347) area code numbers. Using your office number will result in more answered calls and more confirmations since patients are more likely to answer calls from a familiar phone number.

Q: How far in advance can a reminder be placed?
A: Reminders can be sent anytime up to 5 days prior to the appointment date. This option can be set by clicking "Manage Doctors" thereby giving every doctor their own setting.

Q: What time are calls to patients made?
A: You decide when reminders are delivered! This option can be set by clicking "Manage Doctors" thereby giving every doctor their own setting.

Q: Can the patient confirm or cancel an appointment over the phone?
A: Yes! You decide whether to give the patient the option to Press 1 to confirm, Press 2 to connect to the office or Press 3 to cancel the appointment. The decision of which of these options to include in your reminder is totally yours. Following each phone call batch the night prior, you will have a report ready online within 15 minutes of the phone call with the status saying one of the following: Confirmed, Cancelled, Answered - No Action Taken, Human Answered - No Action Taken, or No Answer.

Q: Can we customize the reminder message sent?
A: Yes! You can create your own reminder script by re-arranging the placeholders for PATIENTNAME, APPTTIME, AND APPTDATE into any sentence you like!

Q: Can we send different messages to different patients?
A: Yes. You can simply add a column to your patient schedule and enter the script number corresponding to the message you want sent to that patient. The customized messages you create are numbered which you can write next to the patient name on your schedule before faxing or emailing to us. Please see this Example Schedule.

Q: How many custom scripts can we have per RemindMeDoc account?
A: Up to 250 customized templates are permitted per RemindMeDoc account. Customized templates must be approved which occurs within 24 hours of submitting custom template.

Q: Can we hear a sample appointment reminder?
A: Yes. Go to our homepage and enter your phone number to receive a demo phone call and text message.

Q: Can we enter reminders ourselves into your system without faxing or emailing?
A: Yes! In fact, you can enter individual or a file of reminders yourself via our webform.

Q: Are you HIPAA Compliant?
A: Yes. Unlike many of our competitors, we don't ask for access to your patient management or electronic medical records system. Also unlike many of our competitors, we do not send out lab results, test results, or any other health-sensitive information. See 45 CFR 164.522(b) of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, US Department of Health & Human Services HIPAA Incidental Uses and Disclosures. The Privacy Rule permits certain incidental uses and disclosures that occur as a by-product of another permissible or required use or disclosure, as long as the covered entity has applied reasonable safeguards and implemented the minimum necessary standard, where applicable, with respect to the primary use or disclosure. An incidental use or disclosure is a secondary use or disclosure that cannot reasonably be prevented, is limited in nature, and that occurs as a result of another use or disclosure that is permitted by the Rule. Q: Do I have to sign any long-term contracts?
A: No! We bill you month to month giving you the option to stop at anytime.

Q: Can we add additional physicians to the account after signing up?
A: Yes. Download the Additional Physicians Form and email back to support@remindmedoc.com. Account will be updated within 24 hours.

Q: Do I have to send copayment and account balance information?
A: No. You can disable this function and customize the reminder message to say anything[appropriate] you would like.

Q: Can RemindMeDoc integrate with our appointment scheduling software?
A: Yes! We integrate with any EMR that has appointment scheduling. Have your IT manager contact us for more information.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: You have 7 days from the time you sign up to be eligible for a full 100% refund as long as you have not used greater than 500 reminders. If you would like a refund anytime after 7 days or have used greater than 500 reminders, you will be charged 75% of the remaining balance on your subscription, effectively giving you a 25% refund and your account will be closed.

Q: Do I have to enter my credit card information for the 7 day no risk trial?
A: Yes. You can try 100 reminders for free! After signing up for a paying subscription you have 7 days from the time you sign up to be eligible for a full 100% refund as long as you have not used greater than 500 reminders. If you would like a refund anytime after 7 days or have used greater than 500 reminders, you will be charged 75% of the remaining balance on your subscription, effectively giving you a 25% refund and your account will be closed.
